FLOWERS & BOUQUETS For a hand bouquet an ideal combination are trailing ivy and colourful flowers. Possibly mixed wild flowers with dried wheat. The brides bouquet was given to the bride by her mother and there was great significance in the types of items in it. Wheat was to wish the bride fertility. Usually there were flowers in it from where both the areas where the bride and groom lived, and from where they were living after marriage. Herbs can be included and have been since ancient times.

Anne of Cleves supposedly wore a wreath of rosemary at her wedding. Wreaths can be made of dried flowers or silk, if you do not or cannot use real flowers. Ivy is quite often used in a wreath with ivory flowers. The hair can be left loose or braided with small flowers embedded within the hairstyle.
